SHAUN & ELYSIA
This sweet intimate early morning wedding flew so magically into the afternoon for a perfect brunch with close family & friends. I had the pleasure of second shooting with Dawn Derbyshire again and this wedding pulled at my heartstrings! I could relate to these two sweet souls so much with their love of travel to far off lands and their true real love for each other was so romantic. I am lucky to get to see so many love stories, it makes me want to cry!
Their entire day was full of little heirloom pieces passed down from loved ones who could not be there. They really made their wedding so personal by writing each other vows in little notebooks that they read in private before they said 'I do." And throwing tradition out the window, they had their first dance immediately after kissing in the garden with family & friends watching! How special is that?!
One of the things I really thought was amazing that Shaun & Elysia planned was their allotted portrait time. Because their ceremony was so quick and intimate and they got ready so early in the morning, it allowed SO much time for their first look & bridal portraits. They didn't have a wedding party full of bridesmaids and groomsmen, it was really just time for themselves. I absolutely love when we have a little extra time built in to focus on the Bride & Groom because it allows for more variety in your portraits. Don't fret though, this CAN be done even with a big wedding party. It's all about communicating with your photographer on timelines for the day. I'm always happy to help make the most out of your time because really, your wedding day is going to go by SO fast! So remember to capture it & enjoy that sweet extra time together alone. I promise you will want those beautiful portraits of just you two years down the road and they will still remain timeless as ever.
